October was a jam packed month. I have the opportunity of helping with the youth program at church. I serve in Young Women as the President and it is by far one of my favorite areas to help out. These young women are absolutely incredible. They are smart, funny, kind, and full of Christ's love. One of the things I have enjoyed doing over the past two months has been attending various games. Several of the girls are in sports while in High School and I love cheering them on. It's so fun to get a group of us together to cheer on volleyball, tennis, cheer, soccer, or basketball.
Cheering on Abby and Alex at their volleyball game.

We all came to cheer the girls on. It was so fun to watch them play.
How cute is this little cheerleader of ours?!
Another young woman of mine, Jill, is a cheerleader for the Manteca football team. They had a fundraiser and she asked Quinn to cheer with her for the night. Quinn was SO excited! She counted down to the day that she would be able to cheer. She went to three practices with Jill to learn some cheers and a halftime dance. She looked forward to each practice and had so much fun. It worked out perfectly too because Mom and Dad came in the day before her performance. I was so happy that they could be here to root for our little cheerleader.
Beckham and I cheering for Quinnie.
Dad, Mom, and Jack bundled up for the performance of a lifetime :)
It was surprisingly really cold that night. I am so happy we brought blankets to bundle up in. Unfortunately, I left Quinn's coat at home. About halfway through the first quarter I could tell she was cold so I gave her my hoodie. She looks a little silly in it but I was grateful she was warm :)

Go Q!
This was during her halftime performance before her dance started. She's the one in the oversized hoodie, haha.
Quinn did such an incredible job. We were all SO dang proud of her. She remembered all of the cheers as well as the half time dance. The boys cheered her on the entire first half. I love seeing how supportive the kids are to each other. They get so excited to see each other try and succeed in new things. After halftime Quinnie's part was over so we left for home.
A park day with Grandma and Pop. Plus, Subway for dinner!
Pres and I took off to Hawaii a few days after Quinn's debut. The kids were thrilled to have Grandma and Pop all to themselves. They played games, went to the park, ate really well, played catch with Pop, and loved the quality time they got. I think it's safe to say that the entire week was enjoyed by all sides involved. Pres and I could actually vacation knowing that everything at home was being taken care of too. We are so grateful for Mom and Dad and their willingness to watch our kiddos while we took off for some time away.
Unfortunately, on our last day in Hawaii Jack got sick. Luckily it was just a 24 hour bug. We were so grateful that once again, we knew he was being taken care of by the best. We didn't worry at all and knew Mom and Dad would help him in anyway needed.
Once we were home we only had a few days with the parents before they took back off to Utah. We had a great time playing games, watching movies, and just relaxing at home. It's always a fun time when Grandma and Poppa Spung come to visit.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Once we were home we were officially ready to get Halloween started. We made crazy monster cookies, painted wooden Halloween figures, picked out costumes, and got our pumpkins ready for carving.
Monster cookies...yum!
Quinn painted this cute cat.
She still has this cat in her room on display. She loves it so much.
Our Monster cookies.
This year we had a Creeper from Minecraft.
Link from Zelda Breath of the Wild
And Skye from Paw Patrol. Quinn wanted to wear this costume one more year :)
The cutest trio in the neighborhood.
Love my boys!

One final trip for the month. Our Young Men and Young Women went to the Oakland temple to do some service and it was awesome. It felt so good being back in the temple and surrounded by incredible souls.
October was one for the books. We enjoyed every minute of this month. From vacationing, to family visits, to service opportunities, and fun Halloween festivities, October was a month that made us smile.
