Big Changes in the Clark Home

We have had a very busy April and May.  The boys are growing like weeds. It looks like there is no stopping it from happening either.  Jack is almost 2 1/2 and is officially potty trained.  I can not believe it!! I am very happy and excited about this stage.  He has been doing very well with it and has only had a few accidents.  He tends to get distracted at times and forgets haha.  We noticed about a month ago that he was ready even though I was reluctant.   I knew this would take a lot of time and plenty of patience and wasn't sure I was ready for it.  Diapers are more convenient in the beginning stages. Jack surprised both of us and picked it up rather quickly.  Now he's in big boy underwear and loving life. I am very proud of this boy of mine.

Potty Trained!

Jackson loves adding toys to the pack and play and then getting in to play with Beckham.  I love this too :)

The boys were outside playing with their water table and playing so well together.  I went to take a pic and Jack got behind Beckham and said "Cheese."  I think I take too many pics haha.  I was hoping for a candid but he was ready for me :)

"No, I didn't have chocolate." Hmmmm I think his dad may have snuck a treat.

Beckham boy is now a 1-year-old.  I cannot believe how fast this year has gone by.  He is such a delight to us and has been such a joy in our lives.  He is a very smiley happy boy.  He sleeps very well and eats like a teenage boy.  Preston and I often joke that we will be bankrupt before the boys turn 5 because of how much they eat, haha.  Beckham is crawling like a mad man and very mobile. He can also walk with things or along furniture.  He took a step the day before his bday but is not fully ready to take the leap of faith in walking.  I know he wants to though.  It will be coming soon I am sure.

Beckham's 1 year pics!  How cute is this kid of ours?!

"Ok Mom, I have your camera cap and I am out of here. No more pics today."

For Beckham's big day we invited friends from church to come and celebrate with us.  We had pizza, salad and cupcakes.  Can't go wrong with that :) It was a lot of fun spending time with everyone. As parents, we were very proud of Beckham's first cupcake experience.  He dove right in and enjoyed every bite.  He received several presents from friends and family.  Thank you all for being so kind and sharing this day with us!  Beckham loved it!

Beckham's Birthday FUN!

Pizza time... yum!

Ready for his cupcake.

Daddy is holding his hands back from the candle.  He wanted to touch it while we sang.

Diving in

I think he liked it :)

Preston is plugging away at work and enjoying it.  He really enjoys his new position and continues to learn more and more each week.  He has also broken several work records and is continuing to climb in every aspect of his job.  I am so very proud of this man of mine.

Sushi night.  Love this pic!

As for me, I am just living each day with these crazy boys in my life.  Trying my best to keep up with each of them and managing our home.  I wouldn't trade this for anything!  I love watching my boys grow and having the pleasure of watching it all first hand.

Pres and I had the privilege of seeing a favorite singer of mine.  We saw Carrie Underwood for a date night and she did not disappoint!  It was a ton of fun and great to hit a concert again.

Pics from the show.  She had a great stage.

Jack is my little smoothie buddy after my workouts.  YUM!

Beckham stole Jack's drink and thought it was pretty funny.  This kid.

Jackson LOVES to color.  When I was little, my brother and I would go through a coloring book in a week.  I loved coloring.  I'm so happy to see Jackson enjoys it too.

A trip to the fire station.  We had a family picnic in the park across the street from the station and just had to stop by when we were done.  The boys LOVED it.  Jack did not want to leave.

Now we are getting ready for a fun filled summer.  We have several trips on our radar and are looking forward to time with friends and family.  Stay tuned and you may see us with you ...

March Fun and April Family Time

Quite a bit has happened over the past month.  We celebrated Easter and the boys absolutely loved it. I realized this year that the Easter bunny will need to take a little more time hiding eggs because Jack found them all very quickly and was thrilled with each find. The boys loved their Easter baskets. Both received a book and some new clothes.  For some reason I cannot find my Easter pics which makes me sad but I know they are out there somewhere.  I will hopefully find them eventually.

Life in El Paso is continuing to move forward.  Preston loves his job and the boys and I are enjoying the great weather.  We don't have many cold days so we spend a lot of time outside and with friends.

My family also visited recently and it was a blast!  My oldest sister Angie surprised me and came with my parents and my sister Erin.  I was shocked!  It had been a long time since I have seen her so it was a great treat!

Pres built the boys a sandbox in our yard and they LOVE it! You will find Jackson out there often building, digging, burying, etc. How cute is that hat?!  He loves wearing hats :)

A day at the park.  We love going for walks and playing at the park by our house.  It belongs to an apartment complex but they don't seem to mind that we use it on occasion.  The weather here has been great for park days!

This guy was sick a couple weeks ago.  We took some pictures while waiting for the doc and his diagnosis.  Turns out he had a fever which you can tell by the pics.  He is really red in the face :( poor guy.  He had the beginnings of an ear infection.  He's doing great now, thank goodness.

 Love this babe of mine.

Jackson is such a smart boy.  He builds his own train sets and puts anything he can in a line.  He loves lining up his toys and playing trains.  He also can't get enough of dinosaurs.  Land Before Time is played often in our home :)

Jack is usually around when I work out.  He hands me weights after my run and then grabs his.  He'll say, "one." Then put his weight down.  Haha.

Sooooo this happened!  My sisters came with my parents for a week.  I was so happy to be around family once again.  I am so grateful for my sisters!  My baby sister couldn't make it but it was great to be with my older sisters. We missed you Britt!  I also missed my brother but hope to see him soon!  I couldn't believe that people would spend money to see me and then I realized that they spent money to see my boys haha.  Just kidding ... kind of :)  It was so great to have family in town.  It's always refreshing and an energy booster when you get time together.

Us girls took a day and went to the outlets.  The boys joined us and did a great job. How can you not just love those baby blues?! Love my boys!

Beckham boy playing outside in the sunshine.

Pop sneaking a little Diet Coke to my little man.  He only chews on the straw since he doesn't know how a straw works haha.

Guess where we went to dinner?  Jack loved the "birthday" saddle.  It was fun doing a dinner out before Angie took back off to SLC.  She left a few days before the others.

Aunt Erin and Jack at the zoo.  Jack LOVES the zoo.  I was glad that my parents and Er could see how fun he is there.  He literally runs from exhibit to exhibit.

The day Mom, Dad, and Er went home we stopped at Costco for dinner and I grabbed some groceries.  It was so much fun having these guys in El Paso for the week.  As always the time went by fast but it was a lot of fun while it lasted.  Lots of games, Dr. Mario on the NES, food and relaxation.  The perfect break/vacation!

Enjoying a little snack in the sunshine.

Bath time for these cuties.

Beckham learned to crawl while my family was here.  He's been able to get around by army crawling or scooting but he has decided that wasn't enough.  He is now very mobile and I can't keep up with him haha.  He is everywhere! He tends to follow Jack where ever he goes.

I look forward to celebrating Beckham's 1st Birthday next month!  Stay tuned for some fun in the sun!

Beckham Boy is 9 Months!

Beckham has and continues to be such a sweet baby.  We have enjoyed him very very much.  He is now officially 9 months old and I can't believe it.  His first year is flying by.  He eats like a champ with his now, six teeth.  Four on top and two on bottom.  He loves saying "Dada" with an occasional "hi". He is a great sleeper and napper which we are very thankful for.
Right now he really enjoys being outside, playing with his brother, bath time and watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  He's eating more table foods now and loving that as well.  Anytime Jack is around he smiles and laughs, he loves his big brother. He is really good at standing while holding something but does not feel the need to crawl forwards.  He scoots backwards and will get frustrated when he gets to a wall. Haha
We are so blessed and grateful to have this little man in our lives.

Baby blue eyes

Handsome boy

Love this picture! Those eyes, those cheeks, that smile... so in LOVE!

Getting so big! Looks like his Daddy.

Hmmm....where's Jack? He's always looking to see what his brother is doing.

"Hang on Mom.  I need to chew on something for a minute. These teeth are killing me."
