Trip on the Tram & A Great Start to Summer Fun

We took a little family trip to the Trans Mountain Tramway.  We had a rough start with a little 2 year old but ended great. We pushed it with Beckham's nap but once we were on the tram and heading up the mountain he was loving life. Jack absolutely LOVED it! He was so excited to "go for a ride" and see everything on the mountain. I was worried that the heights would scare the boys but they had no problem.  We kept showing them what we would be doing and they were just antsy to try it out. Jack was hoping to see a mountain lion, I however, was not :) It was a really neat experience to see El Paso from that point of view.  We could even pick out our house from up there.

Now that summer has really hit here, we are balancing our days outside in the sun and inside for some cool air and rest. We are buckling down for about 3 months of crazy high temps. The boys have already spent endless hours in their kiddy pool and love eating popsicles in the sunshine. Our summers tend to be more like other people's winters.  We can only be outside for so long before we have to come inside from the heat and take a break. I am doing my best in balancing outside play with inside fun and activities.

Beckham chose to stand in the middle of the tram.  He found that to be the most fun, haha. It was a really warm day with lots of sunshine.

One nice thing about having 3 kids, 3 and under, is that many times all of the kids are free when we take on our adventures.  Better get all that fun in now before we have to start paying for everyone, haha.

Beckham just kept going back and back again.  He absolutely loved sliding.

Jack actually started doing summersaults down the slide, haha.  He thought it was the greatest thing.

Jump, jump, jump

The Hospitals of Providence had a mile walk with fun activities one morning.  We went and had such a fun time running around and playing on this giant bounce house. 

I couldn't get over how well Beckham did this.  He was such a little man, jumping, climbing and running through the obstacles.  He's getting soooo big!

The boys helped Pres turn Beckham's crib into a toddler bed.  Beckham was so excited.  We soon found out that he was a little too excited to have this freedom :) We had to turn the opening to face the wall again so he could be back in his crib once more.  I think it was just a little too soon for this 2 year old to enjoy his "big bed".  I think he will be ready for it again soon though, just not yet :)

Quinn is such a chill baby.  She loves to observe everything going on around her, because let's be honest, there aren't too many dull moments around here :) She's eating baby food and has been sleeping through the night since the end of May. Her bottom teeth have finally made their way through and I think we are working on a few more coming in soon. We just love this baby girl!

We had a lot of sickness hit our home.  All 3 littles were down for the count for about 7-10 days.  We had Beckham and Quinn with ear and eye infections and Jack had allergies.  When I went in to see the doc, he asked who he was supposed to check out.  I said all three and he looked at me and said, "Well, better to hit all of them at once then one at a time, right?" Haha.  I think having three on meds and sick at the same time was definitely not as easy as one at a time, haha. So many boogers, haha.

                         

I had a moment of dejavu the other day and then I found the pic to prove it. These two brothers are so much a like :) They just wanted to be close to their baby.

This precious baby girl joined the Spung family on a very lucky day in May, Beckham's birthday :)

Beckham Turns 2!!

Our little Beckham boy turned 2 years old on May 16th.  We absolutely love this precious boy and are so grateful to have him as a part of our family.  He brings so much life, energy, humor and love to our lives. He makes us so proud to be his parents.

This year we just did a little birthday party with our family on his special day.  We had balloons, pizza, cupcakes and presents.  What more could a 2 year old ask for? :) He had so much fun on his special day.

Opening gifts. I love how excited he was to open each one. 

A book for our little reader.  He loves to read books with us.  We have read this one every nap time and night since his birthday.  Looks like we picked a good one :)

We were teaching Jack about birthdays and he turned to me and said, "Mom, can I have a birthday?" Haha.  I said, "Why yes, yours is in December, so we will celebrate just you then." He seemed happy about that but it was still so hard standing by and watching Beckham open his gifts. He was so excited, so Beckham let him help :) 

The big gift this year was a Maui doll.  We were so excited to give it to him because he loves Maui from Disney's Moana but I think it shocked him a little too much.  When Maui talked he got scared. We think he may have thought it was the real Maui for a minute.

Yea, it was a little frightening, haha.  He now LOVES him and makes sure to feed him and carries him around.  I am so glad he warmed up to Maui because now they play together often :)

Time to make a wish... Beckham chose his cake this year.  He picked Funfetti cake mix and asked for cupcakes. 

He loved every bite!  Of course you have to eat the top with all of the frosting first then the cupcake :)

Beckham is such a great little boy.  We all adore him and are so grateful to have him.  Jackson loves having a buddy to play with and they get along really well. Right now he loves to climb on everything, eats anything, could spend most of his days outside, and there is nothing like a good show for him to watch during quiet time.  He has a favorite blanket he sleeps with and loves bath time with bubbles.  He stomps around like a dinosaur and will roar at you so you will run from him. Haha  He loves to laugh and talks all the time. 

We love you Beckham boy and are so happy you had such a great 2nd birthday! It was full of fun, laughter, some crying :), delicious food and new toys :)
