Utah Trip

Preston, Jackson, and I had such a fun time visiting family and friends in Utah this past week.  We really enjoyed seeing everyone.  We did our best to see as many people as we could, but know we missed out on a couple of our good friends and we apologize.  I have about a billion pictures so I will do my best to not bore anyone with an overload of them.

We started the week with Preston leaving on a Dallas trip for school.  He went with a bunch of classmates to tour some of the hospitals there.  He really enjoyed it and thought it was a cool place to live.  It's really big and spread out with lots of good health care organizations.  I was so glad he had a good time. As for Jack and I, we stayed home and got ready to leave for Utah later in the week.  I was flying alone with Jackson for his first flight and I must say I was very worried.  I was so afraid that I would be that person on the plane with a crying baby and not able to get him to stop.  We got to the airport and I made it through security by myself, grabbed some dinner and headed to the gate.  Jack was being very chill and just hanging out in his carseat.  I ran to the bathroom to change him before we boarded.  He then slept the entire flight to Las Vegas.  We were lucky enough to have had front row on the flight which gave us so much more room.  We had a layover and then jumped on the next flight to Utah.  Amazingly, we got front row again :) He slept that entire flight as well and it was quite turbulent.  I figure he must have thought we were in the car.  I couldn't believe how well he did.  I was so proud of him.

Jackson's first flight!

Then all the festivities began.  Wednesday we shopped for Jack's blessing outfit as well as getting food for Sunday's lunch. We spent the day with Scott, Sandy, Judd, Staci and kids and had so much fun introducing Jack to everyone.  We met up for dinner that night with Mikale and Kai as well.  It was so great to see everyone.  We've missed them all so much!

We spent Thursday meeting up with Rhiannon and also met up with Mom, Angie and Kami for lunch at Goodwood in Orem.  It was so fun seeing them all again.

When we walked into the restaurant Kami yelled "Aunt Lesley!! Aunt Lesley" and was jumping up and down in the booth.  It made me so happy to see that little girl again. I just love her so much.

I couldn't wait to use my new camera and Pres was my first pic.  He was so thrilled :)

I felt like a tourist, I couldn't stop taking pics of the mountains.  They are so beautiful!!

Rhiannon Wilson, Jackson and I.  It was so fun catching up with her and seeing her family.

I just LOVE this little boy!

My favorite 2 people.

Oh, Timp, how I have conquered you in the past.  So grateful that's over :)

We headed back up to Erin's to meet up with Danny and Betsy.  It was so great seeing them and catching up.  Just love those 2!  I couldn't believe how much Ben has grown.  What a cute little family.

Cody Man was very excited to finally have another boy cousin on the Spung side.

Saturday was a Clark day.  We spent that morning posing for family pictures and trying to keep everyone warm from the cold and wind as fast as we could :) We enjoyed a great lunch at one of my favorites... Cheesecake Factory and of course went home with a slice of heaven.  We also were able to attend Lydia's 2nd Birthday Party!  It was lots of fun.  I can't believe she's 2! That night we went to Jimmy's to help him destroy his house, well not really, we did however get to tear down a bunch of drywall so he could fix electric work and rebuild walls.  We had so much fun doing demolition.

Baby Kai Williamson...such a cute kid.

Preston found a birds nest in the ceiling...what?! Yea, crazy.

We enjoyed tearing down walls and ceilings.  It was a lot of fun.

Hard at work with Erin and Jimmy.

Sunday was all about Jackson Scott.  It was his special day, his blessing day.  For those of you who don't know, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has blessings for babies. This is similar to a christening but is not a saving ordinance.  One who holds proper Priesthood authority performs the blessing, which in our case is Preston and all those that are among family that hold the authority as well are allowed to participate.  It is such a great moment for all family members and a special time for Jackson.  Preston did a beautiful job and Jackson was well behaved :)

We also had the privilege of being able to see Grandma and Grandpa Clark who have been sick for sometime now.  We were able to captured a 4 generation picture of the Clark boys.  What a gem to have!  We love this picture and are so happy we were able to get it while in Utah.

A 4 generation picture.  We were so happy to be able to introduce Jackson to Grandpa Clark.  The Clark name shall live on!

Love this moment between Great Grandma Clark and Jackson.  They really enjoyed meeting each other.  Priceless picture.
Monday we left for San Antonio and Jack didn't make it in the airport before he fell asleep and we made him a bed of blankets on the ground.

It was such a great trip with amazing memories.  Thanks to all who made this trip what it was... FANTASTIC!
