Halloween!

Halloween is a holiday I enjoy actually. I usually try to make our costumes and the whole family gets dressed up. This year was no exception.  We had a lot of fun this time around. The boys are starting to catch on to holidays and it just makes those times more special.  I love making memories and holidays are a perfect way to do that.

Painting pumpkins!

Jack wanted to paint his pumpkin orange because that  is the color of the pumpkin:)

Quinn in all her glory :) She loves cookies, but who doesn't?! :)

Pumpkin Carving
Pres has missed the last few years of pumpkin carving due to work so the boys were thrilled to have Dad helping them carve.

The creation

We also made caramel apples....YUM!!!

Brotherly LOVE

Halloween Party!!

Snow White and two of the dwarfs :) I let the boys choose which dwarf they wanted to be this year. Jack chose Bashful right away and Beckham actually chose Grumpy, haha. I didn't want him walking around with a "Grumpy" on his shirt so we settled for Dopey. Every time I showed him his shirt though he would say Grumpy?...I think I should have just let him be Grumpy haha.

Our gorgeous Snow White

Those cute tights with the red shoes :)

Jack wanted a picture with his pumpkin on the pumpkins, haha.  Love this kid!

What do you do at a church Halloween party? You role down the hill of course. Haha. All of the toddlers were found on this hill just rolling and laughing.

Two more dwarfs make an appearance ;) Pres was Sneezy and I was Sleepy. We had a lot of fun at the Halloween party.

Snow White getting sleepy.

Sometimes I can be a rebel and let my kiddos stay up past their bedtimes. Poor Beckham boy though is about to break toothpicks about an hour past his bedtime, haha. The boys had fun though and once again, a memory was made :) Everyone fell asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillow.

On the actual Halloween day we took the boys to a neighborhood close by.  Our little subdivision actually doesn't hand out candy...wierd, I know.  I think the majority of the kids in our neighborhood must be older, not sure. We had a great time in the neighboring area though.  The houses were all decked out and there was a ton of trick or treaters out.

Beckham was a little unsure at first but once he realized he would get candy by saying the words "trick or treat", he was first to the door saying "trick or treat" and "thank you", haha. Both of the boys loved seeing everyone dressed up. They pointed out each character they knew. We went to about 15 houses and then headed home. We all had a blast that night!

More fun news...

This cutie is officially potty trained!! Woohoo!! Two out of diapers and one more to go. Hallelujah. I honestly didn't know how well he would do. He is not even 2 1/2 years old yet but he seemed very interested and ready. I figured, let's give it a shot and see what happens. I think having an older brother helps a lot in this case :) He rocked it and continues to do a great job. So proud of my Beckham boy! Way to go Beckham James!!

A Visit from Grandma & Grandpa Clark

We were so happy to find out we would be getting a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Clark here in El Paso.  The kids were ecstatic.  I was asked almost everyday for a week when Grandma and Grandpa would be here. Jack had big plans for their visit.  He couldn't wait to take them to the pumpkin patch to ride the tractor, go on slides and see the animals.

Every morning Grandma and Grandpa took these three littles for a walk.  It was great! I had some "me" time.  Honestly I wasn't sure what to do at first.  Then I did a dance and shouted "Woohoo!" Haha. It really was great to have about an hour to workout and shower before the little army came back.

Having fun with Grandpa.

Quinn was there too :)

While Quinn takes her morning nap, we "play" school. In these pics we were learning colors, construction and the letter "h".  The boys slap the color that I say. This is a favorite activity every morning. They think it is so fun hunting for and then slapping the correct color when they find it. We also built a house out of blocks.

I started a little preschool for Jack and Beckham a little over a month ago. We have "school" every morning for 30-45 minutes. It usually consists of a letter for the week, color and shape.  We spend time reading and enjoying each others company. We have soooo much fun! The boys ask every morning, "Mom, is it time for school?" I love that they really enjoy it and look forward to it.  I'm so happy that Momma C got these pictures. It's a "real life", everyday picture from the Clark home.

That afternoon we met up with Pres at the hospital.  We went to lunch and Mom and Dad C got to see where Pres is everyday.

One of our favorite places to eat for lunch. Peking Express never disappoints :) Delicious food and great company.

When we dropped Pres off at the hospital, we made a quick stop to see Miss Patty. Our favorite speech therapist! Jack just loves her!

After nap time snack.

After naps, these two and Grandma made sugar cookies.  There may have been a slight powdered sugar explosion ;)

There is nothing like sugar cookies...mmm. I forgot to take a pic of all the different Halloween characters we made. The boys helped with about 3 cookies and then it was Mom and Grandma frosting the rest. After all of that hard work though I figured I deserved one...or three, or five ;)

On Friday...

One stop we had to make was to the top of the mountain.  The boys were so excited to go back up to the mountain. It has incredible views of the lands around us.  We live in a pretty cool spot in the US. We can see Mexico, Texas and New Mexico all from where we live.

Finding a caterpillar was a highlight of the trip ;)

The crew. Jack was upset that we took him away from looking at the caterpillar to take a pic, hence the awesome face. Haha

Grandma and Beckham boy enjoying the sites.

We sure love the top of the mountain! Pres was able to point out several points of interest and was well rehearsed in all things El Paso.  He's a geographical wizard ;) Well done babe!

Me and this guy ;)

Family pic

These two awesome people :) How grateful we are for them.

Making our way back down.  The little orange guy is your ride up and down the mountain.  It fits about eight people inside. We sure do love this adventure.

Friday night we ordered pizza! When the kids went down for bed we played games.  It was a perfect night. We had a lot of fun talking and enjoying each another's company and of course beating each other up at Sequence :) haha

There was some construction going on at the neighbors house and this kid had a front row seat.

PUMPKIN PATCH FUN!!!

Waiting for our tickets to get in.

While Grandpa and Pres waited in line for tickets, Grandma and Mom took these two cuties for a walk.

More waiting on our tickets shots :)

Since it was our last day with the Grandma and Grandpa Clark, we took them to one of our favorite fall traditions...the Pumpkin Patch! One of the highlights of the patch is riding the tractor out to the field of pumpkins. The boys absolutely love this part!

Finding the perfect pumpkin. Pres had his two helpers :)

Jack found a gold mine of pumpkins. Love the pure joy on this kids face.  He LOVES the pumpkin patch.

Jack found a keeper.  Great pic of Grandma and Grandpa Clark at the pumpkin patch. Check out that backdrop.

Beckham and Jack looking for more pumpkins.

More pics of the tractor ride. So much fun!

Love this baby girl!

Tractor fun!

Beckham describing how big the pumpkins were that we got. Gosh, I LOVE this kid!!

When we got back from the patch we headed to all of the slides.

The big big slide with Momma :) It was really fun. They boys went with Pres too. They would have gone 100 times if we had the time, haha.

Beckham feeding the goats.  Jack was not so interested.

This was actually super entertaining to watch. Jack and Beckham got such a kick out of all of the bouncing.

After the patch we stopped at Rudy's for some good ol' barbecue. Another tradition in our house. Pumpkin patch then barbecue...YUM! It was delicious as always. We headed back to our place for naps and Grandma and Grandpa took off for the airport.

There is nothing like family! We absolutely LOVED our time with Grandma and Grandpa Clark. The time went by so fast but it was a blast while it lasted. We really enjoyed having them in our home and for them to see where we are in our lives. El Paso is quite the place ;) We look forward to another visit from them in the future.

I wanted to document a few more preschool activities we have done as well. The boys are really enjoying our time each day.

"L" is for Lion

Separating and naming colors. Also turned out to be a fun snack :)

Soooo sleepy ;)
