Isaac's Baptism, Zion NP Trip, and Grand Canyon

What an incredible trip! This little Clark family was Utah-bound for 8 days of fun. We spent time with both families, attended a beautiful baptism, road tripped to Zion National Park for a family getaway and even snuck off to the Grand Canyon for a few hours.  I will warn you ahead of time... there is plenty of picture evidence :) I hope you all enjoy!

Our flight in San Antonio ended up getting delayed for 4 hours so we didn't get into SLC until late. Thanks Jim for getting us and letting us stay with you!
At the airport waiting for our plane to get in.
The following morning we attended Isaac Judd Koudelka's baptism.  We could not believe he is 8!  He did such a great job.  Sadie even had a solo spot in a special musical number with Staci and Mikale; it was absolutely beautiful.  There was a sweet Spirit all throughout the ceremony.

The whole crew.  I love that Alivia is waving :)

The Koudelka Clan. What an adorable family!!

That night we went up to the Calderwood's for dinner at Tarahumara and hung out at the house afterwards.  I was so glad we got to see the Spung side before we took off for Zion the next morning.

Kami and Cody loved showing Jack one of their movies.

Jack loves his Aunt Angie.

Love these kids!

Preston and I had been counting down the days for this trip and we were so happy it finally arrived.  We planned on spending a full week with the Clark family before Scott and Sandy head to the Philippines for their 3 year church service mission.  Unfortunately, I got sick right before we left San Antonio and Jack was sick half way through the trip - but we still had a lot of fun.  We left on Sunday and headed to Zion. We stayed in an amazing house in the Zion Ponderosa Ranch with an incredible view. It was so beautiful.  The temperature was a little colder than what we had anticipated but it was such a blast to be there.

On the ranch there were tons of activities. We went four wheeling, zip lining, swimming, paintballing, and took walks around the area.  Paintball was one of our favorites.  Scott, Sandy, Judd, Ammon, Preston, Brian, Shelby and I all went.  I believe there was a moment when Scott said, "No shooting your mother." I wonder who he was talking too... Preston ;)  It was such a blast rolling around and hiding behind obstacles.

Yea, we are hard core :)

Pres and I actually did the 4-wheeling thing twice.  The second time was very intense.

Hanging by the pool.

Preston really enjoyed this activity.

I smiled for this and then realized no one would have known if I had anyway, haha.

We had dust and dirt everywhere.  It was so fun!

On our first ATV trip we stopped and saw a venue named Jolley's Gulch.  It was an incredible view and I am so happy we were able to see it.  There was a huge drop off right behind us and the canyon was beautiful.

Jack and I getting out of the house to take a walk after a few days of sickness.  The fresh air was great!

We also had the opportunity to do a little hiking.  Zion National Park is a gorgeous place so I am grateful we were able to explore the land.

Ammon demonstrating so nicely what could happen at Angels Landing.  That little warning explained that at least 6 people had died hiking this over the last 5 years.  Jack and I stayed home for that one but Preston went and had a great time.

Yea, that's a chain you hold on to so you don't fall off the shear cliff on the left and the right.  I am sure my mom would have LOVED this, haha.

They made it!

Since I was sick for the majority of the week.  Preston took me on a short hike that the family had done earlier in the week.  It was so great to get out and hike around and see such a beautiful creation all around us.

On our way up to the look out point I saw this awesome arch and had to take a picture.

From the lookout point.

This is looking straight down from the railing.

Luckily Pres was there to move this gigantic rock out of the way ;)

Watching the sun go down.

Love this picture.  You can see the windy road in the middle of  it.

We also had down time and were able to just hang out at the house and enjoy each other's company.

My boys having a little down town.

We had an unfortunate incident with Staci, Kai and a bottle of sunscreen.  Let's just say it was more like a lotion then a spray, hence the spiked hair :)

Jack loves his Aunt Shelby and I think she loves him too.
Love this shot.

Alivia with her marshmallow gun.  She has quite the aim.

Who's that good looking baby?

Oh my cuteness.

Alivia loved putting sunscreen lotion on or any kind of lotion for that matter.

Isaac man with his marshmallow gun.

Sadie Belle - oh so cute.

The day before we left Zion we headed down to the Grand Canyon.  Scott, Judd, Brian, Shelby, Preston, Jack and I all took off early that Friday to see one of the greatest sights the world has to offer.

What a view!

Such an incredible place. It's so breath taking.

Another family pic :)

Jackson loves his Grandpa!

When we got back to the lodge we picked a local restaurant for a Poppa Clark birthday celebration and for our final supper before we all headed back to our homes.

Scott decided he was 52 this year instead of 55 :)

Preston in all of his glory and yes you read the sign right... Ho-made pies.  We are still not entirely sure of what it means, haha.

I absolutely LOVE this candid shot.

The Clark family together one last time for a few years.

We had such a splendid time being with the entire family in such a marvelous place.  It was a joy being able to spend time with Scott and Sandy before they embark on their 3 year adventure to the Philippines to serve the Lord and the people there.  We are so blessed to have such amazing families in our lives and are grateful for the times we get to be with them all.  There is nothing like quality time with the ones you love.

Thanks to Ammon, Mikale and Sandy for some of the above pics.
