Sea World Fun in San Antonio

San Antonio has there very own Sea World, who knew?! :) We were invited to go for a day with our friends, Tyson and Randi Traveller who have season passes.  We had such a great time! Pres and I were able to ride several water rides and a few roller coasters.  It had been years since I had ridden a coaster, it was a lot of fun.  Here's a few pics from the day.

Family time!

Me and my buddy.

Who's that cutie?! Such a great smile.

He absolutely LOVES water!

Just hanging out by the pool.

I thought this was a cool shot of the water slides.  The blue slide was a tube slide so Randi and I grabbed a tube and headed up.  We did not realize it was a pitch black tube ride!!! I was freaking out the entire way down waiting for there to be a glimpse of light but there NEVER was until the very end.  I was so terrified.  I almost fell of my tube several times from the turns and the drops.  If you have no idea that you are entering a slide that is completely dark it is definitely a different kind of ride haha.  I think I have done my scary thing for the year!!

They had massive tortoises there as well.

Me and my man.

Preston with Randi, Will, and Tyson.  We were waiting for the dolphin show :)

It was so hot we had to take jacks top off.  He was starting to overheat.  The dolphin show was amazing!

We were leaving and thought we should take a family pic at the cool water fixture entrance. As you can tell, there was no one there.  It was the perfect day to go to Sea World. We didn't have to wait to go on any roller coasters, we just walked right on :)  All in all it was a great day in the sunshine!

A Night in Austin, TX

Recently Pres and I took a little trip to Austin, TX.  We bought a Groupon a while back for a one night stay right outside of Austin.  It was a cute country styled villa.  We figured we should take advantage of his school break and use it before he heads back for his last semester.  We had such a great time! We found a few hikes we could do.  Here are a few pics from our fun family trip.

This was just a recent pic we took so I thought I'd share :)

Our first stop on vacation was Mount Bonnell in Austin. This was a beautiful viewpoint and not much of a hike, it was more like a hike up stairs.

Family photo op at the top.

Here's a view of Austin from Mount Bonnell.

This is the Colorado River.  The views were so pretty from up here.

A view from the other side.

The houses that lined the river were gorgeous!

They had boat docs, house boats and were just enormous.

These are the steps that led to the view point.

Cool trees

After the hike we rewarded ourselves with a little Gordough's.  It's basically a loaded donut :) I guess we thought we deserved it haha.

My happy boys.

Excitedly awaiting a taste of this donut creation.

Here's a shot of what it looked like, as we were diving in it :) We bought the is Blackout donut which included lots of fudge, brownie and a donut underneath. Not healthy but oh so tasty.

Jack and I

Watching the sun set at the hotel.

These are the villas.  We were on the 3rd floor so we had the best view!

Here's a view from our deck after the sun went down.  It overlooks Lake Travis.

Jack and I were up to watch the sun come over the villas and hit the lake just right.

Another shot

I snapped a view pics of our sweet sweet boy that morning.

Our happy baby! He loves to laugh and smile.

More Smiles.

That morning we headed to Hamilton Pool for a hike.  It was so much fun and such a beautiful day.  It was a 2 mile round trip hike and at the end we were exhausted.  I think carrying a 20 lb. baby on the front of you could do that haha.

Loved these trees!

A view on the hike.

So much green.

Hamilton Pool

A waterfall.

Such a pretty site but a little overcrowded.  There were people everywhere, I couldn't believe it.

In front of the pool.

Clark Clan

This is a view looking up in the overhang.  I thought it was so pretty.

Inside the overhang.

One more shot of the cliff.

Pres and Jackson

We then started the hike to the river.

The pathway.

After a hike that seemed like forever, we made it to the river.

Jackson was so excited to be out of the Bjorn and putting his feet in the river.  He kept kicking and wanting to sit down.

It was a beautiful spot and definitely not as crowded.

Taking a break before we headed back.  I gave Pres a break and took Jack in the Bjorn on the way back now that was a hike :)

We had such a great time exploring something new and spending time together.  These are the moments we can always look back on.  Spending time together is priceless.

A shot I thought you'd all enjoy :)

Watching a movie with Daddy.  I believe this was Batman.  He LOVED watching it haha.

Until next time...
