Time Flies...

We have had such a crazy busy last 2 weeks! I have been meaning to update our blog, but time just got away from me.  First, we'll start with Thanksgiving...one of my favorite holidays!!

Thanksgiving was such a blast this year!  Mom and Dad Clark flew in from Chicago to spend time with Preston and I and we absolutely LOVED it!  We had such a great time going to dinner, walking  the River Walk, checking out the Alamo, and just hanging around the house enjoying each other's company.  We ate our Thanksgiving meal at Fogo de Chao, which is a Brazilian Steakhouse (a Tucanos style restaurant for our Utah followers).  It was nice to not have to have a worry free meal and it was so tasty!  We then walked the famous River Walk and headed to the Alamo. With all the walking I thought I may have the baby soon but he held on :) We also went and saw the Disney movie Frozen and absolutely LOVED it!  Had I known the words, I may have busted out in song with the characters.  The music was so inviting and powerful.   We had such a fun time with these two and wished the stay could have been longer.  How grateful we are to have these two in our lives!

The following week my coworkers threw me such an incredible baby shower!  We had my favorite foods - sandwiches and German chocolate cupcakes. They surprised us with a glider and a bouncy seat for the little man!  We absolutely love them both and are getting more and more anxious for his arrival.  I have the best coworkers and am very happy I have the job I do. We also attended a charity event for work at Potter's Home Ministry.  An after school program that a 90 year old man continues to run.  We took gifts and food for those in need.  Santa came too, so Pres and I had to get a pic!

The next evening we attended a Christmas party that was thrown by Preston's class.  I had such a fun time getting to know many of his professors, class mates, and significant others.  I laughed a lot and could understand why Preston loves his class and program.  We have really been blessed to have all the friends that we have around us.

That next morning the ward threw me a baby shower.  We have had so many people reach out and help us with our first baby and we are so grateful.  It was so nice to get to know more ladies in our ward and spend time with some of friends. I also decorated our house for Christmas! I absolutely love the season of Christmas and the spirit it brings.  Listening to Christmas songs and decorating the tree is an event I look forward to every year.

Yep that's our 2 ft. Christmas Tree :)  We've had it since our first Christmas!

As far as baby preparation, we are ready to go!  We packed up our "go-bags" and put the car seat in the car so we can be ready to go at any minute. We are very much looking forward to meeting this little boy and welcoming him to our family.  Hopefully it won't be too much longer now :)

What a Birthday!!

This was such an amazing Birthday this year!!  Not only did my hubby make sure to spoil me rotten, but I received so much love from so many family and friends.  I woke up to a Cinnabon cinnamon roll (my favorite breakfast) and all kinds of cards and gifts. Preston got me 2 cookbooks that I was wanting so badly, and I think he will enjoy them as much as I will.  While we were flipping through them he'd say "ooooh we have to make this" and "oooo look at this one" haha.  I look forward to the awesome meals to come :)
I also got an amazing watch I had been wanting for years that I never thought I would own, thanks to my family! Scott and Sandy got us a new couch slip cover which was needed so badly!!  The Clark siblings spoiled me with a gift card to get a pedicure - which I am so excited about and my swollen feet are even more thrilled ;)

After our delicious breakfast, we of course had to play a quick game of  Dr. Mario before we could get ready and head out.  I won of course, but I am still not sure if it was because Pres let me or I actually finally defeated him.  I got an awesome Happy Birthday song solo from Mom Clark :) and it was great to talk to her and Dad Clark on their way to the temple.

Then we got ready to go and see the new Hunger Games which ended up being sold out so we got tickets for the next available time and headed to the mall to walk around.  I more waddle these days.  We ended up at Cheesecake Factory so I could take in my favorite meal and it was so tasty!  We of course ordered cheesecake to go ;) and we were off to the movie.  We both really enjoyed the movie and felt like they did a great job following the book with the time allotted for a film.

A german chocolate cheesecake...delicious!
When we got out of the movie I noticed 3 missed calls with voice mails and I had so many texts.  I had 3 Happy Birthday songs waiting for me :) Of course, the Calderwood rendition is always one of my favorites (let's just say they are no Von Trapp family haha) and one from the Koudelka's sounding like angels and Mom's solo spot :)  It always makes me smile.

We headed up to the Pearl Brewery where the Culinary Institute of America is, as well as several restaurants, walking paths, and waterfalls.  We walked around there until it started to rain and headed home to enjoy our cheesecake!

So thrilled I made him pose for this...haha

Let's just say at the end of the day I was exhausted but it was such a great day!  Thank you to everyone who made this day so much more special than I ever expected.

It was also Movember so Preston and some of his classmates had these amazing mustaches going.  He was so proud so I had to post some pics.

Yep...he is trying to seduce you all.

Finally!  Fall arrived...even though everyone here calls it Winter.  They have no idea what winter really is :)

Weekend Fun!

This weekend we set up the nursery for our little man!  It took so much more time than we thought it would and we still have a few things to do before it is complete, but we are so happy with the final product.  We made a little head board, hung up shelves, and pictures.  We also fixed our "bookshelf" we had in there for him by adding some color fabrics.  I still have to get his drawers under control because there are clothes, blankets, bibs, etc. everywhere. At least we have the big stuff done, yahoo!  Now when we walk by his room, we are getting more and more excited for him to come.

Here We Go...

We are so excited to finally get a public diary up and running.  We were going to start one at the beginning of the year but decided that with the holidays and so many things going on in our lives right now, why not start now?  We moved to beautiful San Antonio on August 1st and have really been enjoying our journey here so far. These are our comings and goings!

On my way home from work I was stuck in traffic and thought I could take a pic...maybe not the safest thing to do but it's a great view of where we live :)

This is downtown San Antonio, my first temp job was in a building downtown on the 19th floor.  I had to take advantage of the scenery around me.  You can see the storm rolling in, in the distance.

Preston was accepted to Trinity University for graduate school where he is working towards his MHA (Masters of Healthcare Administration).  He is really enjoying the program, professors, and his classmates.

Preston playing intramural co-ed flag football while I watched on, I got to meet a lot of his classmates that night and they were all so nice.

He played quarterback and did such an amazing job.  Watch out Peyton Manning!

My latest employment along my eclectic line of jobs is at a healthcare staffing agency doing administrative tasks at the beginning of October and I am loving it.  In other news, we have a baby boy that will be joining us at the end of December and we are so anxious and excited to see him and squeeze him.

32 weeks and counting!

I know you all think he is just as cute as we think he is :) I might be a little bias.

We had a gender reveal/goodbye party before we left for San Antonio in July, I thought I would share the pics from that party as well.

Speaking of our sweet little one, I had the opportunity to go back to Utah at the beginning of October to enjoy some time with family and friends.  My sisters threw me 2 amazing baby showers and I absolutely LOVED them and had such a great time.  Pictures below are from the Spung side - it was a Harry Potter theme, I was so amazed by the creative minds of my sisters and all the hard work they put in to it.  We had bread bowls and soup which was scrumptious! I will have to ask Mikale if she has any pics from the Clark baby shower.  We had so much fun at Grandma Curtis' catching up and spending time together.

Oct. 18th - We had such a great night with some of our closest friends, Chris and Christina Loumeau, going to a pumpkin patch/carnival and spending time with their twin girls.

Chris and Preston taking the girls down the big slide.

The girls LOVE Preston! He plays so well with them.

Oct. 25th -Pumpkin Carving and caramel apples with the Loumeau's...
I was in charge of getting the seeds out and drawing the face...

London having a hard time because she couldn't carve the pumpkin...

but got over it quickly.

Preston at work, he's so concentrated on my lines haha.

Chris and Christina showing off our pumpkins and caramel dipped apples.

Yep, Preston couldn't wait to dive into his apple so there is chocolate all over his face.

Making caramel apples.

They were soooo tasty, ask Preston!

Finished product.

Zoo Day!! On Oct. 26th we went to the San Antonio Zoo recently with some friends and had so much fun. They have so many animals and right now they feature baby tigers!  It was a perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

We went with one of Preston's classmates and old mission friends Tyson and Randi Traveler with their little boy Will.

Baby Tiger :)

Will didn't make it :) Fell asleep half way through.
This is definitely going to be our longest blog, I am sure.  There were so many things to catch up on that we have already done.  Since I am not very good at updating Facebook, I figured I would share all of our adventures we have taken part in so far.
