The Summer Sun in June

SUMMERTIME! Down here in Texas it is warm most months of the year. However, the summer months are like living on the sun. This is the reason you will find El Paso a little less populated between June and August. People tend to leave for weeks at a time and head north to visit friends or family. This June has been exceptionally hot. Usually our real hot months are July and August but June has started out strong. We have seen our days heat up to 110* so far. This can only mean one thing in the Clark home...POOL Time!

This year Pres and I bought a larger pool for our backyard. I am so so happy we did. We bought it so that we could get in with the kids and cool off ourselves :) It's nothing huge or major, but we use it every single day. The only down side is that the water heats up fairly quickly so it's more like bath water, haha.

Jack thinks it is much safer to wear his floaters in the pool. I love it! Haha. The pool is maybe two feet deep ;)

I couldn't catch her fast enough with the camera. She was eating her popsicle in the tent and it was the cutest thing. She sat in there all by herself having her tasty summer treat.

Quinn Marie

Pres was showing the kids roller coaster rides on the TV. Jack was ready for the fall :) They love watching these. They think it is so fun, haha.

 Quinn has grown so much over this past month. She has really gone from baby to toddler. She looks more like a little girl every day. I cannot believe how fast that came.

Little boys playing Super Heroes is the BEST! Meet the ever so strong Gekko and the crazy fast Catboy! These two have so much fun together. 

More summer time fun! Quinn caught on quickly to this game. She decided she would be both green and yellow hippos, haha. We have played lots of games, had craft times, baked, and put together puzzles during the hottest part of the days. From nap time on we are inside for the day. It gets way to hot in the late afternoon here. 

 

Splash Pad FUN! 

We have an incredible splash pad close to home. We have gone a couple times and the kids absolutely LOVE it! It has a huge bucket in the air that spills water once it's filled. Jack will laugh and wait for it every time it goes to spill out. If he is somewhere else in the park he will run to catch it coming down. Beckham runs all over the place making sure to touch each water spout.

Happy Fathers Day to this guy! 

I forgot to get a pic with him and the kids this year so this one will have to do :) Pres is such a wonderful husband and father. The kids cannot wait for him to get home from work. They will walk him to his car in the mornings and watch his car disappear around the corner. He is such a vital part of our family. I could not have chosen anyone better for me. He completes me ;)
