November is a celebration month for me...yay for birthdays! I get so excited when November rolls around every year because it’s my favorite month. It feels like a gentle pause before the next wave of celebrations begins. It’s also one of my favorite times to photograph families in California, with the softer light and slower pace. Thanksgiving has always been a holiday that brings so much joy, with its good food, football, and a chance to truly relax and be together.
We were looking for a rug and Beckham spotted this sign, haha.
Jack was so excited to show us what he was hoping to get for Christmas this year. He created an entire interactive cardboard version of a SNES system. Love this creative kid and how he sees the world. He's my vintage, loves creating, sweet boy.

Checking out the night sky! The moon was so bright this night. we could see so many planets and stars. It was amazing.
Camping at Beals Point for the night!

We survived another camping trip!
Quinn, Pres, and I took a walk through a few parks to scout out locations in our new area. Yes, we have a pyramid in Rocklin! This is called the Whitney Pyramid and was built around 1913. It serves as the final resting place for a wealthy rancher named Joel Parker Whitney, his family, and descendants.. There is also a structure built around it called "the fort" and is a unique historical landmark.
We also headed to the Penryn Quarry. It was so beautiful with it's open fields, moss covered rocks, and mountains in the backdrop.
Assembly Awards!
Jack and Quinn received a Show Respect award from their teachers. Every month the teacher from each class picks two kids to award a student for their hard work. Quinn and Jackson both got the award for this month.
Jack opted to have a moment to shine in front of the winners banner.
Everyone asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday and I couldn't decide, so I chose to have a birthday weekend! Full of all my favorite things with my favorite people. We kicked it off at Cracker Barrel, one of my favorite restaurants. You can never go wrong with some southern cooking.
I have always wanted to drape real garland on my staircase. This was the year for me to make that dream come true! I love the way it turned out. Ang was a huge help in giving me suggestions on how to do it.
On Saturday we went to lunch at my favorite Greek restaurant here in Roklin. Then we took off to check out a crazy awesome bookstore in Lincoln. It had more books than we knew what to do with ourselves.
We then did dinner and a movie at Studio Movie Grill. Everyone was excited to check out the new Zootopia and it did not disappoint. It was such a fun movie.
We topped the night off with a family board game and football.
On my birthday Pres spoiled me with breakfast, lunch, and dinner all made by him. I opened gifts, relaxed, read a book, started a puzzle, and sat in the hot tub as the sun went down. It was the perfect mixture of fun things to do, great food, and relaxation. So happy I had three days to celebrate than just one, haha. I will for sure have a three day celebration every year now, haha.
Family game night on the Switch.
Grandma & Grandpa Clark came into town to spend a few days with one of their favorite crews! We absolutely LOVED having them. We checked out the Sacramento Farmers Market, Old Sacramento, the Capital Building, and even had a fun photo session at the Quarry near our home. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect way to spend a week with two of our most favorite people in the world.
Checking out the memorial at the Capital building.
We stopped at a candy shop in Old Sacramento for a little treat. Jack likes circus peanuts just like my Dad does, haha. Beckham wanted some of everything!

A night of relaxation and a movie.

These two are the cutest! I was so honored that Sandy asked me to take a few pictures of her and Scott. They even let our family crash their session for an updated family photo. I struck gold in the in-law department and I will forever be grateful for it.
Our three cuties :)
Clarks new family photo :)

Pres and I took Scott and Sandy to the Sacramento temple grounds so they could check it out. We sure do love the temple.
Luckily there was another photographer in the area and she snapped this cut pic for me. So grateful for her kindness and willingness to help us out.

Before their flight home, I made a quick stop at the temple with these two. It was so great to have them with me as we served in the house of the Lord.
I truly look forward to this month every single year! It brings a sense of peace, joy, and yes… a few good gifts too ;) We filled November with so many of the things I love most, and my heart feels full because of it. From a cozy campout with our sweet little family, to celebrating the kids and their accomplishments, to shopping trips, movie nights, fresh new reads, and an entire week spent soaking up time with family. Every piece of it felt meaningful and intentional. There’s something about this season that slows life down just enough to notice the good. This time of year really is the best.
