Big Changes in the Clark Home

We have had a very busy April and May.  The boys are growing like weeds. It looks like there is no stopping it from happening either.  Jack is almost 2 1/2 and is officially potty trained.  I can not believe it!! I am very happy and excited about this stage.  He has been doing very well with it and has only had a few accidents.  He tends to get distracted at times and forgets haha.  We noticed about a month ago that he was ready even though I was reluctant.   I knew this would take a lot of time and plenty of patience and wasn't sure I was ready for it.  Diapers are more convenient in the beginning stages. Jack surprised both of us and picked it up rather quickly.  Now he's in big boy underwear and loving life. I am very proud of this boy of mine.

Potty Trained!

Jackson loves adding toys to the pack and play and then getting in to play with Beckham.  I love this too :)

The boys were outside playing with their water table and playing so well together.  I went to take a pic and Jack got behind Beckham and said "Cheese."  I think I take too many pics haha.  I was hoping for a candid but he was ready for me :)

"No, I didn't have chocolate." Hmmmm I think his dad may have snuck a treat.

Beckham boy is now a 1-year-old.  I cannot believe how fast this year has gone by.  He is such a delight to us and has been such a joy in our lives.  He is a very smiley happy boy.  He sleeps very well and eats like a teenage boy.  Preston and I often joke that we will be bankrupt before the boys turn 5 because of how much they eat, haha.  Beckham is crawling like a mad man and very mobile. He can also walk with things or along furniture.  He took a step the day before his bday but is not fully ready to take the leap of faith in walking.  I know he wants to though.  It will be coming soon I am sure.

Beckham's 1 year pics!  How cute is this kid of ours?!

"Ok Mom, I have your camera cap and I am out of here. No more pics today."

For Beckham's big day we invited friends from church to come and celebrate with us.  We had pizza, salad and cupcakes.  Can't go wrong with that :) It was a lot of fun spending time with everyone. As parents, we were very proud of Beckham's first cupcake experience.  He dove right in and enjoyed every bite.  He received several presents from friends and family.  Thank you all for being so kind and sharing this day with us!  Beckham loved it!

Beckham's Birthday FUN!

Pizza time... yum!

Ready for his cupcake.

Daddy is holding his hands back from the candle.  He wanted to touch it while we sang.

Diving in

I think he liked it :)

Preston is plugging away at work and enjoying it.  He really enjoys his new position and continues to learn more and more each week.  He has also broken several work records and is continuing to climb in every aspect of his job.  I am so very proud of this man of mine.

Sushi night.  Love this pic!

As for me, I am just living each day with these crazy boys in my life.  Trying my best to keep up with each of them and managing our home.  I wouldn't trade this for anything!  I love watching my boys grow and having the pleasure of watching it all first hand.

Pres and I had the privilege of seeing a favorite singer of mine.  We saw Carrie Underwood for a date night and she did not disappoint!  It was a ton of fun and great to hit a concert again.

Pics from the show.  She had a great stage.

Jack is my little smoothie buddy after my workouts.  YUM!

Beckham stole Jack's drink and thought it was pretty funny.  This kid.

Jackson LOVES to color.  When I was little, my brother and I would go through a coloring book in a week.  I loved coloring.  I'm so happy to see Jackson enjoys it too.

A trip to the fire station.  We had a family picnic in the park across the street from the station and just had to stop by when we were done.  The boys LOVED it.  Jack did not want to leave.

Now we are getting ready for a fun filled summer.  We have several trips on our radar and are looking forward to time with friends and family.  Stay tuned and you may see us with you ...

  1. I love this! I am a slacker at reading blogs big these pictures are so dang cute! I can't believe how grown up both boys are! Also, when I first read that blurb about Preston's job I thought you had said he's broken many world records... I thought, "I feel like he would have told me about this..." Ha! Love you Les!
