A Trip to Albuquerque

After everything that happened with Jack and the hospital we decided to take a spontaneous trip to Albuquerque, NM.  We wanted to take some time away from our normal scene to explore and have some family time.  Pres and I just felt like we all needed a break.  I am so happy that we did.  We had such a great time visiting the children's museum, zoo, aquarium, and botanical garden.

We first hit the Children's Museum.  I highly recommend this to any one within driving distance of this place.  We stayed there for about 3-3 1/2 hours just exploring and playing.  The boys absolutely loved it.

They have a specific area for toddlers that is gated and it was a ton of fun.  We were in this section for quite sometime.

Most of the museum is science based so I was worried it would be too old for the kids but, they enjoyed every section we went to.  They had areas about wind, clouds, music, water, bubbles, building blocks, etc.

Beckham loved this fountain on the left.  He would just stare at it for several minutes watching every move the water made.  Jackson the architect was in absolute heaven with these blocks.  We spent a good hour or longer outside building different forts.

A little static electricity, haha :) Daddy helped him build this fort.  He LOVED it!

The following day we went to the zoo.  Jack was sad to find out that we couldn't see the alligator exhibit because it was closed for inspection.  We told him he could pick out an alligator toy instead. Beckham picked a giraffe.  We rode the zoo train, which was a first for us, and the boys really enjoyed that.  Seeing the animals from the train was really fun and it was a great break from walking.

Quinn just going along for the ride :)

We headed to the aquarium next.  It was fun to see but after going to the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago you just can't compare any other aquarium.  It was small but Jack loved watching the stingrays.  He would always find them and just marvel at how they swam.

The botanical garden was fun too.  They had a toy train set up that went all around different flowers and plants.  Jack and Beckham would just watch it go by tooting it's horn.  They loved the bug exhibit as well, me not so much. Haha. I was happy to leave as soon as we could. Haha. It just made me feel like the bugs were on me and seeing certain spiders and creepy crawlers sent chills down my spine. Not my favorite but I'm glad everyone else enjoyed it :)

At the hotel.  Pres and I ended up with food poisoning from Red Robin :( Not so fun.  We had to cut our trip a little short because we just wanted to get home.  Luckily it came the last day we were there. Jack and Beckham watched a movie for some relaxing and calming down time.  The boys LOVE the new Disney movie Moana. Maui is a true hero in our house. They love his "You'reWelcome" song.

This little chica is officially in a bumbo.  She's getting so big.  It just blows my mind at how fast she is growing. Sitting up like a boss! :)

I am definitely not the best at doing family nights on Mondays but I am getting better.  This week we learned about the creation and the many things the Lord created for us.  We made flowers, clouds, the sun and moon out of paper plates.  The boys had a lot of fun with this activity.

First official pic of the three of them since Quinn was born.  I didn't think it'd be that hard to get but when you have two energizer bunnies for boys it's hard.

Jack and Quinn having a conversation.  She absolutely adores her brothers but even more so when they talk to her and make her laugh and smile.  This just warms my heart!

3 months old and still concerned about her wear abouts :)  She has these big eyes often as she is focusing on and observing everything around her. Haha.

Girls night out!  I went with my girls to see Beauty and the Beast.  A must see movie!! We all had so much fun!

Ready for church Mom.  Love these two cuties!

Jack had an unfortunate run in with our neighbor's dog.  It was a little Yorky and he did not want to be held.  Our little neighbor girl picked up her dog to show Jack but she didn't know that Jack was already kind of afraid of dogs.  This moment sealed the deal! The dog started wiggling and trying to get free and the little paws caught his face. No more dogs around Jack or he may scream and run.

Mama's precious boy!

Momma's workout buddy.  He will grab the 3 lb weights and lift them up high saying, "Momma look how strong."  I love him!

Oh so happy!

Garth Brooks

Trisha Yearwood

Hands down one of the best concerts I have ever seen.  I have been to around 100 concerts in my lifetime and no one puts on a show as good as Mr. Garth Brooks.  It was absolutely incredible!!

Somebody got into Mom's makeup and decided his cheeks needed some color :) This kid, haha.

Our little princess and those kissable cheeks!

We have had such a fun month.  We love having family time, vacationing and just living our every day life. How grateful we are to have these three little angels in our life.  Stay tuned for some updated pics of our little ones this Easter!  Crossed fingers it goes well :)

  1. When were you in Albuquerque? Next time you're here, stop by our place! We'd love to have you guys! And yes, Explora, the zoo, and the gardens/aquarium are a must-do with kiddos. Weekly, in my case :)
